On 30 June 2022 at the Government House in Wellington, Mr. Sinchai MANIVANH presented the Letter of Credentials to Her Excellency General the Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro, GNZM, QSO, Governor-General of New Zealand to serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to New Zealand.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Cindy Kiro, GNZM, QSO, Governor-General expressed her warm welcome and congratulations to Mr. Sinchai MANIVANH to assume his duty as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to New Zealand. Ambassador Sinchai MANIVANH conveyed to Her Excellency Governor-General warm greetings and best wishes from His Excellency Mr. Thongloun SISOULITH, President of the Lao PDR, and expressed his high appreciation for the warm welcome and the arrangement of the presentation of Credentials. Ambassador Sinchai MANIVANH, on behalf of the Government and People of the Lao PDR, expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Government and the People of New Zealand for the continued support and assistance in many sectors, including education and human resources development, agriculture, renewable energy and water resources management, tourism, and UXO clearance, among others, that have significantly contributed to the development of the Lao PDR, and looking forward to the continuation of the support and assistance in the years to come. Her Excellency Governor-General expressed appreciation for Lao PDR’s cooperation and support to New Zealand in regional and international affairs and affirmed that New Zealand would further providing its appropriate support and assistance to the Lao PDR.
This credential presentation ceremony was held and conducted in a harmonious atmosphere.
The Lao PDR and New Zealand have established their diplomatic relations since 07 February 1963.
