On behalf of the people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Majesty and the people of Brunei Darussalam on the auspicious occasion of the 25^th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Lao PDR and Brunei Darussalam.

I am truly delighted to witness that over the past 25 years, the friendly relations and good cooperation between our two countries have been continuously developed and expanded in various areas, as seen in our regular exchanges of high-ranking and delegation visits at various levels. I am confident that the traditional friendly relations and good cooperation between our two countries will be further enhanced and strengthened in the years to come.

                May I take this special occasion to wish Your Majesty happiness, good health, well-being, and the people of Brunei Darussalam under Your Majesty’s reign continued progress and prosperity.

I am very delighted to note that over the past 25 years, the friendly relations and good cooperation between the Lao PDR and Brunei Darussalam have been progressively developed and expanded both in bilateral and multilateral frameworks. The Government and people of the Lao PDR highly value cooperation and valuable assistance of the Government and people of Brunei Darussalam in the past years, which have significantly contributed to socio-economic development of the Lao PDR. I also look forward to meeting and working closely with Your Majesty during my official visit to Brunei Darussalam scheduled at the end of this year in order to further enhance the existing friendly relations and good cooperation between our two countries to be more fruitful and flourishing, for the tangible benefits of our two countries and peoples as well as for peace, stability and cooperation for development in the region and the world at large.

The regular exchange of bilateral visits between our two leaders as well as the success of your official visit and co-chairing of the 2^nd Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation between the Lao PDR and Brunei Darussalam last month in Vientiane capital and Luang Prabang province have contributed to further enriching and deepening the traditional bond of friendship and growing good cooperation between our two nations.
