On the occasion of the 69^th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on behalf of the people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I have the great pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Preah Bat Samdech and the entire people of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

I am delighted to note that the long existing good traditional friendly relations, solidarity, good cooperation as good neighboring countries as well as a comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership between our two countries and two peoples have been continuously developed and enhanced.                                                                                            I am committed to work with Somdech to further enhance such good relations for the continued development and fruitful cooperation in order to bring about the tangible benefits of our two peoples, thus contributing to peace, stability and cooperation for development in the region and the world at large.

I am confident that under the leadership of Preah Bat Samdech, the Cambodian people will continue to further enduring peace and greater prosperity.

I highly value the friendly relations and good cooperation between our two countries that have been continuously strengthened and flourished in the past years. The two countries have regular exchanges of high ranking visits which supported cooperation in various areas of a comprehensive and long lasting strategic partnership that have been implemented concretely in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks in order to bring about the tangible benefits to our two peoples as well as for peace, stability and cooperation for development in the region and the world at large.      

This year is a significant year as the Kingdom of Cambodia assumes the role of ASEAN chairmanship. I am confident that under your wise leadership and rich experience, the Kingdom of Cambodia will be able to achieve greater success in developing nation to prosper in all aspects and continue to play a key role in the regional and International arena.

May I take this auspicious occasion to extend my best wishes to Samdech good health, well-being and greater success in your noble tasks and I look forwards to consulting with Samdech during the 40, 41^th ASEAN summit in Phnom Penh.

I am delighted to note that the long-existing friendly relations, Solidarity and good cooperation as good neighboring countries and a comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership between our two countries as well as our two Ministries have been developed and enhanced in the past years and achieved a great success in various areas in order to bring the tangible benefits to our two peoples, particularly the successful outcome of   the 14^th JCBC meeting which contributed to enhancing our cooperation in various areas.
