I am delighted to note that over the past years, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Republic of the Philippines have strengthened the friendly relations and good cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral frameworks. In 2020, our two countries have organized number of activities to celebrate the 65^th anniversary of the diplomatic relations. I am pleased to note that the Lao PDR and the Republic of the Philippines have developed and contributed to further enhance the traditional friendly relations and good cooperation between the two nations as shown in our joyful celebrated of the 65^th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between our two countries last year. I look forward to welcoming and working closely with Your Excellency on your incoming official visit to the Lao PDR and Co-chair with me the 2^nd Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) to further strengthen our closer cooperation in various areas in the near future.
