On behalf of the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic as well as on my own behalf, I have the great honor to convey my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Honourable on the occasion of being elected as the 31^st Prime Minister of Australia.

I am confident that under your wise leadership and rich experiences, Australia will continue to develop and be able to play a significant role in the region and the world at large. I look forward to working closely with Your Honourable to further strengthen the existing friendly relations and good cooperation between Laos and Australia for mutual benefit of peoples of our two countries as well as elevating the ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations to a new height. I am looking forward to jointly with Your Honourable cerebrating the 70^th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations of our two countries and working closely with you to move forward the friendly relations between our two nations to the comprehensive partnership on this auspicious occasion. In addition, I strongly believe that under our joint effort the existing friendly relations and cooperation as well as the ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations will elevate to a new height.
