On the auspicious occasion of the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the European Union, I have the honor to convey my sincerest congratulations and warmest felicitations to you and through you to the entire people of the European Union.

Over five decades, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the European Union have nurtured and sustained a relationship grounded in mutual respect and support, enduring friendship, and good cooperation. Since the formal inception of our diplomatic ties on 21^st November 1975, we have collaboratively engaged at both bilateral and multilateral levels, for the cause of peace, stability, and prosperity for our people.

The convening of the Lao PDR-EU Joint Committee and organizing various commemorative activities truly underscore the vitality and strength of our enduring partnership.

I am confident that our bonds of friendship and cooperation will continue to deepen and flourish in the years ahead. I very much look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to further enhance our bilateral relations for the mutual benefit and prosperity of our people.

At this propitious moment, please accept my heartfelt wishes for your continued good health, and distinguished success, as well as for the ongoing dynamism and exemplary performance of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
