Statement of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR
On the 3rd Outcome of the Inter-Korean Summit
The Lao PDR welcomes the outcome of the 3rd Summit between Chairman Kim Jong-un of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and President Moon Jae-in of the Republic of Korea (ROK) during 18-20 September 2018 in Pyongyang. The Lao PDR views that the outcome of this Inter-Korean Summit contributes significantly not only to further promoting the good relations and cooperation between the two Koreas, but it also reaffirms the efforts made by the two Koreas towards maintenance of peace, permanent security and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The Lao PDR is pleased to note that the situation in Korean Peninsula has been developed in a positive way and hopes that all parties concerned would continue to maintain this good momentum.
The Lao PDR reaffirms its consistent support for denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula by peaceful means, for the benefits of peace, stability and development cooperation on the Korean Peninsula and the world at large.

The Lao PDR welcomes the successful outcome of the historic Summit between the Leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States of America (USA) on 12 June 2018. The Lao PDR views that the outcome of the Summit will be a significant milestone for the relationship between the two countries, which will in turn contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability on the Peninsula and the world as well as the denuclearization of the Peninsula.
The Lao PDR welcomes the successful outcome of the historic Summit of the Leaders of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on 27 April 2018. The Lao PDR views that the outcome of the Summit would significantly contribute to the enhancement of the bilateral relations between the DPRK and ROK, the maintenance of peace and stability on the Peninsula and the world as well as the denuclearization of the Peninsula.
