I have learned with profound sadness over the Wildfires Tragedy in California, which has caused considerable loss of lives and enormous devastation of properties.

On behalf of the Government and people of the Lao PDR, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy and deep condolences to Your Excellency and through you to the Government and American people, especially to the victims’ families.

I am confident that under the leadership of President Donald Trump the aftermath of the disaster will be duly overcome and livelihoods of the affected populations be restored to early normalcy.
