On the occasion of the 78^th Anniversary of the National Day of the Syrian Arab Republic and the 20^th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Syrian Arab Republic, on behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I have a great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the entire friendly people of the Syrian Arab Republic.

I am delighted to witness that the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Syrian Arab Republic have enjoyed friendly relations and good cooperation over the past two decades. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to strengthen the existing friendly relations and good cooperation between our two countries in the years to come for mutual benefits of our two nations as well as for peace, stability and development cooperation in the region and the world at large.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Your Excellency good health, happiness and the friendly people of Syria continued progress and prosperity.

I have learned about the mass shooting in the Crocus City Hallin Krasnogorsk City outskirt of Moscow on 22 March 2024, which has caused tremendous loss of lives of innocent people and left many wounded.
