President Bounnhang Vorachit received in Vientiane on Aug 6 Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen and his delegation who were on a visit to Laos to take part in the 13^th ASEAN Leadership Forum which was held on Aug 6-7.

At amicable talks, President Bounnhang asked the visiting Prime Minister to convey his regards to King Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia and expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s visit to Laos to attend the 13^th ASEAN Leadership Forum.

The President also expressed gratitude to the Cambodian government for its cooperation and support for the ASEAN chairmanship by the Lao PDR, especially the successful hosting the 49^th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and other related ministerial meetings.

The objective of the Cambodian Prime Minister’s courtesy visit was to enhance the sound friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries of Laos and Cambodia, and to promote cooperation for socio-economic development for the benefits of the peoples of the two countries.

The Cambodian Prime Minister also extended regards to the President from King Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
