          I have learned with profound sadness over the earthquake in West Java of Republic of Indonesia, causing great loss of lives and properties of Indonesian people living in the area.

          On behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and people of Indonesia especially to the families of the victims affected by this natural disaster.

          I am hopeful that under the leadership and intensive effort of Your Excellency, the Government and People of Indonesia will be able to overcome the impact of this disaster and restore the affected area to normalcy. Our thoughts are with the Republic of Indonesia and its people during this difficult time.
