    On the occasion of the 65^th Anniversary of the Independence Day of Malaysia, on behalf of the Lao people and on my own behalf, I would like to convey my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Majesty and the entire friendly Malaysian people.

    I am pleased to witness that over the past 56 years, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Malaysia have strengthened the friendly relations and good cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral frameworks, particularly the cooperation on human resource development and other areas and our two peoples have regularly exchanged of visit. I am confident that the existing friendly relations and good cooperation will be further developed in the years to come for the mutual benefits of our two nations as well as for peace, stability and cooperation for sustainable development in the region and the world at large.

    On this auspicious occasion, I would like to wish Your Majesty good health, happiness and greater success in your noble tasks and the friendly Malaysian people continued progress and prosperity.
