Excellency,
I have learned of an ongoing severe flooding caused by torrential rain over the past two weeks in several parts of Malaysia making tremendous loss of lives and properties of the Malaysian people.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathy to Your Excellency, Government and Malaysian People, particularly to those families whose loved ones have been suffered from this natural disaster.
I am confident that Malaysia will be able to overcome the difficult times and restore the living condition of the people in the stricken areas to normalcy soon.
